Rodeos and Birthdays

So first off - a shout out to my favorite brother who turns 21 today!! Congratulations and Happy Birthday Patrick! I hope you have an awesome birthday and an even better year! I love you and you are truly the number 1 brosef in my life!

Second - just came back from the rodeo. Two nights in a row. Tonight was phenomenal! Keith Urban. I am not sure if he is always this great live or if it was something special. But I don't think words can even describe it. He never took one break, played every song I knew (which isn't easy), and went into the crowd. And not just high fives. No he climbed over the fence and into the crowd while playing his guitar and singing. It was insane. He did this twice. People were freaking out. He had so much energy it was great.
Last night was Lady Antebellum and compared to tonights performance they reminded me of Wet Toast. They were good and they sang good songs but there was no entertainment. It was very flat. Regardless I think they sound great together and I still like them a lot!

keith urban got me thinking though. he has to be in his forties and he is married and has a kid and is a recovering alcoholic. do you think that plays into his entertainment factor. his passion. he was DRIPPING in sweat by song 3. i mean i have never seen anything like it. he was having sooo much fun (or so it seemed). it was just enjoyable. so i say if you ever have a chance to see keith urban live - go for it!

Mutt Strut 2010

Ouisie will be entering her first race this Saturday at IAH. She will be competing in the 1 miles Mutt Strut. Rumors have it that her toughest competition is Gracie but we will have to wait until we get there. If she is anything like her mother her toughest competition will be herself. http://www.houstonspca.org/site/PageServer?pagename=homepage_new&cvridirect=true

Powerflex

Oh gosh. I feel guilty that I haven't posted anything new on my blog but the week flew by! I can't believe that it is already Thursday and I still have yet to do have the things on my to do list, including going to the grocery store! We ate scrambled eggs with green peppers, onions, mushrooms, and artichokes tonight for dinner which managed to completely clear out the entire refrigerator of edible food items. We did attend the powerflex class at the Y tonight. Umm yeah. Definitely won't be back any time soon. It was kind of slooooow. The instructor wore a light grey unitard. She was probably about 50 years old and had a bad lisp. I have yet to understand why people set themselves up for ridicule. I mean really a unitard is pretty bad as it is but then it light grey?? Chris and I stayed towards the back of the class. It was so strange. We had to get just about every piece of exercise equipment - barbell, dumbbells, exercise mat, and aerobics steps (which looking back on it we never needed the step). Then throughout the class people would get up and put part of their equipment away. I think Chris and I were the only newbies in the class because everyone else was positioned and ready to go after each exercise. I don't know. I mean I am all for trying new classes and thinking that anything is better than nothing. But I didn't even break a sweat and for those of you that know me - I sweat driving to work normally, but then again I do treat my trip to work like the Nascar Sprint Cup Race Series.

one step too slow

You know when you think you have a great idea and then you forget to do something about it and about a month later you come across your idea but some else acted upon it. Well tonight it happened to me! Lindsay - our adventure has been snuffed. Apparently we were too slow and our future as cupcake mistresses for our bakery - "batter" has already been constructed. :(

This seems to happen a lot! Another one - pillsbury mini brownies. Well I actually didn't have that idea but I did think that pillsbury should sell flour in pre-measured baggies so that you can just dump out one cup without measuring. Genius! I know.

Anniversary

Today is our 2nd anniversary!
